I have sooo many favorites from this session! It's so hard to pick which ones to show. This family is so much fun, and has SO much energy! everyone was dressed so cute, and were so well coordinated. I'm getting the first half blogged and then will get the slideshow up, when I finish it. Hope you all like these pics...I will write more when my brain isn't totally fried! Goodnight all.

What have I done

So I've been talked into doing the craft fair at Disney in December.....So I'm busy making paper crafts & cards. I'm going to start posting them on Etsy to see if they sell. We will see how it all goes. Along with family shoots I'm going to be pretty busy until Thanksgiving. Pretty soon you can view my etsy store at www.orangegirlpress.etsy.com

Lisa & RD are Married!

My least favorite part of taking pictures is making decisions and picking the best of the best. I litterally spend hours picking through and deciding between shots. This wedding is just the same, so many cute shots of this couple! I have such a hard time picking my favorites to put up here! I hope they love them:) RD and Lisa are such a sweet couple and I think with a little help from Alex, they are going to be a really fun family to be around! We started at the L.A. Temple, and got some fun shots. They actually split their wedding up and had a ring ceremony and reception the day after the wedding. Makes for a low stress wedding day for sure! One of my favorite moments of the night was RD's parents were tearing up the dance floor salsa dancing! Click the button at the end of the post to watch the slideshow. P.S. I Heart Voting

This year was the first time I have ever voted! I know I'm 28, I've missed out on two other elections. I was so excited when Starbucks gave me a free hot chocolate instead of my free coffee for voting! Thanks Starbucks girl! What a fun night watching the election roll out. It's touching to see so many people passionate for voting. (Sorry my office phone is soooo dusty, so embarassing!)

Camera Came Today!

The Fedex guy finally came! yay, I love this new camera! it even takes HD video...we shall see if it is good quality...haven't tried that out yet. I did try out the camera in low light. It is amazing! I took the pictures in my office...because I have a lot of confidential artwork on the walls, I'm just going to post my toy collection. These are the things I like to look at all day while I dream up new Theme park stuff! I think it's good inspiration. Some day I may need a room for all my disney stuff....thank goodness for my office, it makes it so I don't have to have all my stuf at my apartment:)

I've been waiting to get a point and shoot forever......since Chad and I started dating he decided that he needed my camera more than I did and I haven't seen it since. It was a crappy camera anyways. I should be getting this bad boy today or tomorrow! yay! I really will have no excuse for not blogging anymore. It's difficult to haul the big Nikon around to take pictures of your own life. This camera has even got a LECIA lense! It even does HD video! I'll have to blog about all its sweetness later this week! As my tax write off season ends you will probably see a few more new camera toys pop up on here:)

I thought I'd post a preview of the wedding I'm working on! I love editing weddings! It's so much fun to go through and find the images that just feel magical. I was editing Lisa and RD's wedding, and found this image. I thought it was very sweet, and I loved the flowers. Can't wait to post the rest. As for me I'm off to bed. Goodnight blog:)

For the Love of Letterpress

Letterpress is a dying art. It is an old printing tecnique where the letters on the press actually indent the paper when it prints the ink. Now if you want to letterpress you have to use an old refurbished press, they don't really make any new ones. The cost of letterpressing is just too expensive to keep up with the current commercial presses. When Chad asked how much I spent on making business cards...I just said, it may be expensive....but they sure are pretty. I was so excited to make these buisness cards! I had so much fun, and I totally want to buy a press, I just need some more cha ching$ and a studio that will fit one....which requires more of the cha ching! I really need to win the lotto, just so that I can make more pretty things. Here's how cute they turned out! I love them!
